The Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group Inc. is a part of the Intercontinental Hotels Group hotel company. Founded in 1981 by William (Bill) Kimpton it was the largest chain of boutique hotels in the United States in 2011. Affiliates of Ocean Road Advisors were among the lead investors in the launch of Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants and also participated in all of its investment funds.
