Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, Britain’s former chief rabbi, passed away on November 7, 2020. Rabbi Sacks was highly esteemed around the world for his erudition and wisdom, his prolific authorship on Jewish topics, and his longstanding community leadership and ambassadorship. He was a close friend and ally of AJC and the American Jewish Community. His remarkable legacy will live on for many generations, and he will be deeply missed.
