UN Watch’s Hillel Neuer, Gal Gadot, Nikki Haley Named to List of Top 50 Pro-Israel Influencers
UN Watch’s executive director has been listed among the world’s Top 50 Pro-Israel Influencers of 2020, together with Gal Gadot, Nikki Haley, and other personalities.
In celebration of Israel’s Independence Day, the list was compiled based on 600 nominations from communities around the world.
Influencers were chosen based on the number of followers as well as the impact these individuals have on their respective communities.
“Neuer is a critic of the UN human rights council’s actions and an outspoken defender of Israel,” reads the citation.
“The Tribune de Genève has described Neuer as a human rights activist who is ‘feared and dreaded’ by the world’s dictatorships.”
“On social media, Neuer is one of the most active and consistent sources on exposing the absolute absurdity of the United Nations today both on their anti-Israel agenda, and their sheer hypocrisy on any number of issues including women’s rights, war crimes, and other global issues.”
The director of UN Watch recently surpassed 100,000 followers on Twitter, making him one of the world’s most influential pro-Israel voices on the primary social media platform used by political leaders, journalists, and activists.
On a daily basis, Neuer’s tweets are shared widely by Israeli ambassadors, government spokespersons, and activists.
Among human rights advocates, Neuer equally ranks as one of the leading Twitter influencers, with a reach surpassing that of the largest and most influential organizations.
This year, for example, Human Rights Watch chief Ken Roth has so far succeeded in posting seven tweets that achieved the metric of 1,000 likes.
In the same time period, Hillel Neuer’s account achieved three times that amount—with a total of 21 tweets that surpassed the benchmark, with some drawing upward of 20,000 likes.
