Meyers Family Philanthropies Grantee, MoMath, Featured in NYT
Meyer Family Philanthropies’ grantee, the National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath), was recently featured in The New York Times as it begins an exciting new chapter in its expanded home on Manhattan’s Avenue of the Americas. The move from its longtime location on East 26th Street doubles the museum’s space and marks the launch of what Executive Director Cindy Lawrence calls “MoMath 2.0.”
Once fully installed, the new home will feature 72 interactive exhibits, including 31 new installations that broaden the scope of mathematical ideas on view. A new second-floor gallery for rotating exhibitions and math-inspired art further enriches the experience, deepening MoMath’s unique blend of creativity, discovery, and public engagement.
